Afternoon people. I feel like I need a good, old, smiley face emoji to be put there. Just to make it look like I bid you a nice afternoon and not a horrible one. Oh, I'm rambling. Back to the nitty gritty. It has been beautiful, weather-wise this weekend in Canterbury, so to make the most of the sun, my housemates and I went to the beach! Well, not all of my housemates went, but the people that I am living with for the next two years went, so it was like a Uni-Family trip. T'was cute. I do love the beach. In Essex, I live about a 20 minute car drive from Southend, so it felt very homely in Herne Bay (that's where the nearest beach to us is.) So, after a 20 minute bus ride, we had hit the coast. It was pretty busy when we arrived, probably because it was the nicest weather that it had been all year, and everyone wanted to make the most of it. As a typical family, we strolled along the pebbled sand, taking selfies and watching the guys, Josh and Mark, skim stones into the water. They weren't too bad, well Mark tried his best. (hahaha!) After our walk to the end of the pier and back, we saw the Arcades across the road. Everyone who goes to the beach has to go in the arcade. It's a must. Whilst not paying attention, we ended up walking into the 18+ only section which mean't us all being asked for ID. Even after being let in, we chose to be in the younger section, winning to rubber ducks on the 2p machines. We were pretty successful to say the least. Our little beach trip finished with a meal in a local Wetherspoons and a huge 99, although it wasn't actually 99p might I add, but £1.60! I still can't believe it. Ah and then when we all got home, we sat on the sofa and watched Pitch Perfect. I think that is literally a perfect Saturday. |
