Jake came to visit me for a week at my university so that we could celebrate my birthday and spend some time together. We had last seen each other on Valentine's Day so it was especially nice to be wined and dined on my birthday, as I wasn't able to see my family till the day after. We went to Pizza Express - I do love that place, most of all their doughballs. I had a pesto chicken and mushroom, gluten free risotto which sounds like a mouthful but was pretty tasty!
Awwwwwwwwwww and did I mention that my housemates are the best? CRINGE but insanely true. They all let their creative sides come out to make me a board titled "19 Reasons why we love Leanne" as well as a glittery wine glass and a personal goody box full of all things girly. Eyelashes, nail varnishes and chocolate. What more could a girl need? I never had expected anything so thoughtful. They are so lovely.
My parents and sisters travelled down from Essex to spend the weekend with Jake and I. Whenever they come to Canterbury, we always end up shopping and having a few drinks in the old pubs. This weekend though, we went to the Cathedral. We had said that we always wanted to see what it was like and so this weekend we got the chance. It's a pretty amazing building. My Dad was especially surprised when I told him that my graduation (fingers crossed) will be hosted here. I think that is cool.
Oh and I got lots of cake! I'll have to ask my Mum for the recipe for the giant strawberry mountain she made me. It was lovely and you will love it!
See you soon for some more goss,
